Suzanne Warfield, a milliner and hat maker, has always had a love for hats. Her passion began during a visit to Spain when she discovered a milliner’s studio. Soon after, while living in Hamburg, Germany, she took millinery courses at the London School of Fashion and learned from experts like Chlöe Scrivener, who worked with renowned hat makers. Suzanne also apprenticed with Ulla Machalett, whose precision and techniques continue to inspire her work.
After returning to Brooklyn, New York, Suzanne launched her own line, Marine & Deerfield. She designs and makes each hat individually, using traditional millinery and couture techniques. Many of her hats are hand-blocked using vintage or custom-made blocks, and the finest materials collected from around the world.
